If anyone has a dream that involves going to Africa, to connect authentically with people there, MY dream is to make that happen! Last year we held the first “Women Listening Event: Listening to the Women of Africa – for Acknowledgement and Collaboration” over the week of International Women’s Day. As a follow up event 5 women from Kenya will host this event next year in a beautiful centre which supports children orphaned by AIDS. Organic food, eco lodges, true community: we will sing together, dance, cook, and give a generous listening. Men and women welcome, and a collaborative project achieved over the ten day visit.

I’ve been following Marcia since 2001 and had the pleasure of spending time with her and several others at a retreat in Maui (if you ever get a chance to go to a Dream Retreat I really encourage you to do so!).

My dreams have evolved over the years and I’ve always gone back to the basics that Marcia teaches — so now, 10 years later, I have two very successful businesses — one is as an OBM (Online Business Manager at Virtual-Partner dot com) and the other is as a Life Coach/Life Strategist (at PowerWithinCoach dot com).

What I’ve found is that, as Marcia discusses, is that when I ‘STOP’ remembering my ‘Dreams’ and fall back into the ‘FEARS’, my life (business, relationships, etc.) then start to become cluttered and my focus becomes foggy.

THEN, I give myself a BIG Kick – and, YES, go back to the basics of my dreams and remember the WHY I want those dreams to continue to come true and the HOW to make that happen!

was always insanely jealous of my talent cuz
she became a raging alcholic instead of a
concert pianist & I became what she had dreamed.
Don’t waste time on negative people, it’s
not worth it. People are attracted to us
mostly by how they FEEL about us more than
what they THINK about us. Learn to FEEL
good all the time about something & your
chances of success are greatly increased in
my opinion. Also I have learned to ‘keep the
wheat & blow off the chaff’ in other words some
of the least likely people are the ones who
gave me the best ideas in life.

My reality is that in 40 years
of my music career every time I
moved forward with a major project it
also cost gobs of money. Maybe that’s just
the nature of the beast of my calling LOL
cuz there’s no one in my field who went to the
next level without gobs of money or a sponsor.

My dream is to start my own business as a massage therapist i have a portable bed,i only have one month left in my current job money is very very low but come 2012 i want to start living my dream of being a massage therapist.
My first step though is to do an advance course to improve my skills so as to have a better confidence about myself. Awesome replay ! Nice to have thought about it and much appreciated from the other side of the ocean. My action steps are :
1) create a meditation practice to focus on my dream. If meditation reveals to be too hard (because of the doubter voice), then come back to my dear old written journal… say just right after this comment is posted.
2) Write a synthesis of all the moves I’ve made toward “rebuilding my personnality”, all the progress, all the steps I have already taken.
3) from that synthesis, decide which next step feels right for me now toward my big dream, which is learning to live with my creative sensibility which some people are calling a “disease” and teach other high sensitive people how to deal with their high moods and down moods, and integrate that sensibility into a empowering way of life.
