Hi Marcia! My dream is–and has been, for all of my adult life–to help the animals who share this planet with us, but don’t have the voice to speak up for themselves. I have a house full of rescued cats, and 2 pit bulls, who weren’t adoptable, so they have a forever home with me. I have rehomed more than 250 animals over the years.
After being hit by cars 3 times in a 7-year period, I’m now on disability, and struggling to survive. But things seem to keep happening to disrupt my plans. Ultimately, I want to use my writing skills and background to be a voice for animals. PTSD has been a major impediment in asserting my dream, so I sign up for many of these free webinars to enhance my coping skills and self-confidence.

OMG! Marsha, I live within 5 miles from this Sonic – I go by every day on my way to work and it was so exciting to see this change in my own town. Our state has been so hard hit from the financial downturn and this Sonic is in a valley that is primarily middle-income. So many have lost their jobs and the home construction here is at a standstill. So, this increase in sales cannot be due to an increase in traffic.
I am one of those who feels like she has lost her “dreamer”. I know I want things but that is totally different from dreaming. Thank you for Dream University – it is helping me find that which was lost.

I am asking if anyone has a scholarship ticket so I can participate in the online class beginning 1/17.

My theme is the “3R’s”: Release, Renew, and Rise (again)
My dream is about “4F’s”: Financial stability, new Friends, a new home for my Family…and know Freedom again.

I could (and will) write a book about how I got here from being at the top of my form…which was a truly wonderful life.

I will say it involved early widowhood and a couple of bad choices which included a new relationship with a very charming (but deeply wounded, mentally ill, and destructive) person that we were lucky to get out of with our lives.

Everything material is gone, my work, our home, our former life, but I still have my 3 wonderful children. We’ve moved to a new city (where we knew no one) so we could begin again in safety.

I’ve done many things to “give back” and “pay it forward” before things got rough, and I will again, once I get back on my feet.

We were in a very tough spot; lucky to get out, but are on the verge of homelessness. There is no way I can afford to spend $300 or even $150 when I can barely make rent (for one room), my car needs $400 to run again, and work is so hard to come by.

I’ve spent much of my life inspiring others by word and deed.

Now I need some support and inspiration. It is not easy for me to “ask” but I am. I know how far we’ve come, how close to “falling through another crack” we are…but we are a “worthy investment.” I say “we” because I am the sole support of me and my 3 children.

I remember how it feels to soar, I just need some supportive community to help me re-member the steps, cheer me on, and remind me to break this down into…digestible bites.

I can’t even remember my purpose, and I need to reconnect with that. I know when I do, that the rest will come, as my heart opens to the word again I put one foot in front of the other and create and act on even just a few “wow’s.”

I know there is someone in our community that has an extra ticket that has known what it is to be beaten down. Someone reached out to you and that’s why you are OK enough to have that extra ticket.
