What a great lineup of speakers – cna’t wait to participate in this great week long event. Who am I most looking forward to hearing? First (and I do mean this from my heart), YOU, Marcia, and then Jack Canfield. And for a dream to focus on, that would be to finish my secnd book, this one co-authored with my wife, Pam, with a time frame of getting the full draft done by October 1st 2010 (well along toward achieving that goal).

We loved the week long vacation we enjoyed coming from the East coast to attend one of your dream workshops there in San Francisco a few years back – what a dream come true!

Mary Manin Morrissey’s book, Building Your Field of Dreams was published in 1996. I read it front to back. I have read it again all the way through at least four times since then. I use it as an inspirational tool for my own writing and presentations. It is one of the top ten books I recommend to my audiences. Mary has been an inspiration to me. I look forward to hearing her presentation.

I just joined the community, so I am looking forward to hearing all of the presenters equally. I need to shed about 60 pounds of excess weight, which is also a metaphor for living an unsatisfying life in general. The weight “weighs me down” in more senses than just the physical. So this is the dream I will be focusing on: to become light on my feet again by shedding “padding” and “insulation” (insulation from what?). As for being in the great outdoors, I once did this with my entire family among whom were my younger brother (aged 10) and my older brother (aged 23). He kept telling us there were bears about, so my younger brother and I went to sleep worried. And we woke up from deep sleep because we heard a bear growling nearby! My younger brother bravely stepped out to meet his fate (since I was a girl after all)–and it was our older brother growling to scare us! As a joke, of course . . . .

Camping is great. Dreaming is inpirational. So to combine the two with a good dose of community spirit should do a great camp fire receipe : cheerful, soothing and warm. Looking foward enjoying it all with you.
This might be a very very very good timming…as I am dreaming of clarity about who I am and about the amount of success I can create and assume to let go of self-sabbotage, as well as dreaming of a fluid expression of this clarity in relationships to overcome the double bind effect. This is for me first. Out of scarcity. And then I dream of beeing able to escape my little world to give the possibility of creating this clarity for others.

My friend recommended your program to me. I am new to this sort of learning and mind expanding. I lack self esteem and confidence, and I get stuck worrying, and get overwhelmed easily. I have some personality issues to work on. I’m just all confused.

A different kind of camping experience:

It was amazing enough to be at the ancient ruins of Tikal, northern Guatemala, but to be camping inside the national park was a dream come true. The park’s palapas, simple thatched roofs on four beams, were perfect for hanging our hammocks and protective mosquito netting. During the day we explored the Pre-Classic Mayan temples, viewed toucans, parrots, watched for spider monkeys swinging in the trees and listened for howler monkeys growling like lions. At night we listened to the tent campers freaking out over scorpions as we played our congo drums and sang camp songs. The place is magic, but not for the faint-hearted camper, and our three days there left me waiting for the opportunity to return. The ancient Mayans knew how to appreciate paradise.

Personally, I go for a camping with transformational leaders. I believe that these days, transformational leaders include leaders that trains the youth. This is our biggest influence that will bring about transformation, not now, but in the future. And this is where we should work if we want to see a real transformation – we work with the youth.

Transformational leaders need to get close to the ways of the youth, to be effective in training our youth.

Camping and Creativity,
You remind me when I was 16 (already 48 years ago) and in charge of a group of 12-13 year old girls summer activity. I wanted to give them a weekend initiation of camping in the wilderness. The parents drove us to a boat where we cross the river and arrived to the isolated Island. Before the 3 tents were installed for the night a stormy rain began so I showed the girls to dig a gutter around their tents to drive the water away . We had to speed up the installation to protect all our sleeping bags, clothing etc.There was 9 girls for 2 tents and I had my pup-tent for myself.
We all went to sleep then 2 hours later I heard some girls screaming that they were in a flood. So I noticed that the bigger tent for 5 didn’t have a gutter and a good stream of water was flooding their tent because no floor neither. I had to make room for all in a tent of 4 and mine for 2. All the girls were snugly and crowded with back-packs but not enough room for me. I had to sit all night under the big tent with my plastic raincoat over my clothe and trying to have the fire going on under the cold rain. But we made it. Then the sun came through around 5 o’clock to begin to dry all wet stuff and preparing the fire for breakfast. I thought I was through with this experience, but the rain came again around 11:00am for all the day. I had to be creative to motivate the first camping girl experience.
I create an initiation to the rain. Who to know, love the rain, discover the water element and it’s appreciation then we swim in the river to finish the experience and building a good fire to warming up in appreciation of the fire element. This was a tremendous experience that no one has forgotten. Years later I came across one of them and told me that since that day she loves the rain and trained her children to know the inner power and the qualities of the rain as lovable as the sun.
Now I wish that this Business “camping” will get me out of the cold wet condition I feel in facing my Art Marketing Business. This is my last try to learn how to sell my own creation. I never be able to ask money for my art, I gave more than 500 paintings and sculptures and I know the value of each was over $500. each minimum. You could understand why I am barely able to pay a low rent and food for living, Before becoming homeless I try this but I feel this time is working for me since few months I discover all these great people who give me so much help and seminars, etc. I am on my way home.

It is currently being revised with CMN’s PR department to tell the story of how CMN began, what CMN is, and where it is going worldwide. Together, we are searching for a larger publishing house to print and distribute it. My dream is to see this happen before the end of this year and make this book available in every Children’s Hospital.

I live in Canada, born here in Quebec Province, and I have had the same dream since I was very young…and able to read and write. Which is to WRITE. I have been working on Parliament Hill with parliamentarians of all kinds (ministers, members of Parliament, Senators), although it was not my dream I chose to like my work if I could not ‘have’ my dream. But the dream never died and I am now reaching retirement age with that dream still in my heart. I want to live by the ocean, have my own house and have enough money to live comfortably writing for the rest of my life. I want to share that dream with someone who can communicate and express his thoughts, his dreams and his feelings…yes, I really said ‘feelings’! I have met so many people who are afraid to be hurt, and thus, choose to stay away from love and everything that looks and feel like it. What a waste! I want love, friendship, compassion, joy, generosity, passion, kindness…and I can give all that too. That, I know because this is how I am. What I don’t know is HOW to make it happen, WHEN will it happen, WHO will it be… and WHERE is he???

I would like to take that whole week as a holiday, just to hear every speaker. However, I feel like I am in the candy store and I must choose. I will be focusing on my dream to expand my new company this year – Catalyst Gourmet to national retailers and to get my line featured on QVC and the Dr Oz and Oprah shows in order to share our wonderfully aromatic, healing beneficial spice based blends that transform ordinary tea, coffee, oatmeal and more into a delicious gourmet experience. My vision is to be a positive Catalyst. Through my current business I am able to help others find little moments of bliss by making everyday foods and drinks a bit special. I am so inspired by the speakers on this program and can’t wait to learn, grow and share with my friends and fellow women business owners the lessons and tips that await.

My other dream that I want to fully manifest in the coming year is to share and bring shape to my vision for a line of kid friendly products that help address the growing obesity trend by making fun, easy to use blends that kids and teens will love cooking and creating with too. Being in this virtual camp with all these people, these role-models, is simply beyond words. Thank you for letting all of us take part in this miracle. It really is a dream come true in itself!
My dream is one that came to me in a vision at a young age of 12 – to someday become an Ambassador of Hope and Health. So much is encompassed in that little dream. “This will not feed you was what I was told”. So I was urged to pursue another direction in life. I did, because I had to listen to my parent. It wasn’t until four years ago, that this dream reawakened in me, and for this first time in my life, I wrote it down and it is now becoming to slowly show up in my life. In the year 2008, less than 2 years after its reawakening, I was made an Ambassador of Goodwill at a local Chamber of Commerce where I live. I also do inspirational e-mails and hope to publish my first book this year – God willing. This book will give people Hope and inspire them to better health and greatness for a better life. A great part of my dream is to be able to feed multitudes of people and especially children in underdeveloped countries where children are mal-nourished and mal- nutritioned and inspiring people to achieve greater health, wealth and greater hope for a better life as an Ambassador of Hope and Health.
